Bindi's New Movie!

Bindi has booked another movie! Unfortunately, I don't have the name for this movie, but I know its the sequel to Nim's Island - and Bindi will be playing the role of Nim! This is where I got the news from....

Bindi has also starred in Free Willy 4, Escape from Pirate's Cove, and will later this year appear as Nim in the sequel to Nim's Island

Bindi Irwin
Bindi Irwin is only 13 years old and is already an international award-winning celebrity.

Born to enthusiastic wildlife conservationists Steve and Terri Irwin, Bindi was just 3 years old when she made her television debut with her proud dad on The Crocodile Hunter Diaries.

By the age of 9, Bindi had appeared on numerous American chat-shows, including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Late Show with David Letterman, Oprah and Larry King Live.

Bindi launched her very own TV show, Bindi: The Jungle Girl, which won an Emmy in 2008 and was nominated for an Emmy again in 2009.

She has just finished filming her latest series, Bindi’s Boot Camp for ABC3, which will go to air in July of this year.

Bindi has also starred in Free Willy 4, Escape from Pirate’s Cove, and will later this year appear as Nim in the sequel to Nim’s Island.

In 2007, Bindi was awarded two Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards: Fave Aussie and Biggest Greenie. And was, along with her brother Robert, recently awarded the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award for Biggest Greenies. They accepted this award together and dedicated it to their father Steve, and the Steve Irwin Wildlife Reserve.

Bindi has also performed at special events such as ‘G’Day USA’ at the Music Centre in LA and the New York City Centre in 2007.

In 2008, Bindi won a Logie for ‘Most popular new female talent’ and in 2009 she was nominated for an ARIA (Australian Record Industry Award).

Bindi’s Bootcamp is an exciting and thrilling new wildlife based game show hosted by Bindi Irwin.

Recorded at Australia Zoo, three teams of two kids will compete in daring, messy and exciting wildlife themed challenges. Each episode will open with a dramatic race through Australia Zoo, followed by a mental challenge, and conclude with a spectacular obstacle course –each featuring the zoo’s live and dangerous animals!

The nine highest-scoring teams across the series will reassemble for the semi-finals, and the top three teams will make the Grand Final. One team will be named “Bindi’s Wildlife Warriors,” wining the prize of a lifetime – a trip with Bindi to help on an Irwin Family conservation programme.

Coast rolls out Easter fun

Caloundra Surf Festival on the Easter weekend incorporating the Pa and Ma Bendall surf contest, with surf art, surf music, movies and a board swap.

Coolum Surfing School "Vegemite Surf Groms" - a national junior development program for 5 to 12 year olds.

Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin will be making appearances at Australia Zoo, with various eggspeditions.

Kenilworth Cheese, Wine and Food Festival on Easter Saturday with a cheese-rolling contest and the Cheester egg hunt.

Aussieworld will be having live music each day of the Easter holiday.

Australian Hockeyroos will take on America at Ballinger Park in Buderim. Both teams have qualified for the London Olympics.
